Contracted: Phase 2
The second installment to last year’s gruesome STD horror flick Contracted, this sequel, titled Contracted:Phase 2, follows the story of Samantha as she suffers from the mysterious degenerative viral pathogen gradually deteriorating her body. Picking up from where the previous film left off, Contracted: Phase 2 follows Riley, one of the last person to come in contact with Samantha, in a race against time to track down the people who are responsible for the outbreak of the highly contagious disease before it consumes his body and all living organisms on earth. This latest movie is not for the faint of heart and Phase 2 appears to up the game with more blood, gore, and what seems to be the making of a zombie apocalypse. Making stomachs squrim this month, Contracted: Phase 2 begins infecting cinemas this 3rd of September!
Visions
Blumhouse productions who brought us many a horror with heavyweight titles the likes of Sinister, Insidious, and Paranormal Activity is once again taking us into the realm of supernatural invisible forces in the upcoming Visions. The latest movie follows a soon-to-be mother Julia, who left the hectic city lifestyle to start a new life with her husband David at their beautiful new vineyard home. Not long after moving in, strange noises and visions of a sinister hooded figure starts to plague her everyday life. The weird thing is, she is the only one hearing and seeing these supposed hallucinations, not even, David who becomes increasingly worried about his wife’s well-being. To prove her sanity, Julia tracks down a local medium who reveals the horrific history of her new place of residence. In an attempt to, piece the past events together, Julia unearths a secret so dark that it puts her whole family’s life at risk. Visions will haunt cinemas this 10th of September.
Make Me Shudder 3
Entering its third instalment, Make Me Shudder is a Thai horror comedy unlike that of any horror Hollywood movies you’ve ever seen. The movie revolves around a group of high school students who somehow invariably encounters paranormal events wherever they go. This time, the sets off on a graduation trip to Phuket Island and set up camp next to a beach. With the worst of luck, their temporary abode was destroyed when a huge storm approaches the beach. With such, the gang is forced take shelter at an abandoned hotel for the night. However they were all woken up by the same dream of a Tsunami disaster waking up to a startling sight of wrapped corpses. Thus, begins their nightmare in the hotel of horror! Scream and roll over in fits of laughter as the gang takes on a horde of supernatural beings. Make Me Shudder 3 will hit cinemas this 17 Sep!
The Green Inferno
From the great Eli Roth, guru of explicit violent and bloody horrors, who returns with a new gory horror seemingly inspired by the classic Cannibal Holocaust. The latest movie The Green Inferno follows a group of student activists who travels from New York City to the Amazon in hopes of saving a dying tribe. Unfortunately, the plane crashes in the jungle and they are taken hostage by the very natives they vowed to protect. The long-overdue horror of abundant gore will hit cinemas in Malaysia this 24th September.
