As anyone born before the year 2000 can tell you, Nicholas Tse is one of the coolest guys ever! Starring in so many popular Chinese movies, it’s not a stretch to say that most girls were in love with him at that point of time. With his new movie coming soon, what else can we do but reminisce on his pure awesomeness. Without further ado, here are 5 reasons explaining why Nicholas Tse always have been, and always will be a really cool guy.
- The Bad Boy every girl wanted.
When Nicholas Tse crashed his Ferrari in 2002, he let his driver take the blame. As much as this was horribly illegal and upsetting, we couldn’t help but release a sigh of relief when he got away with it with 240 hours of community service.
- He wrote his own music!
Nicholas Tse was one of the singers of his time that actually wrote his own music. Who could imagine that the bad boy with the famous dad could be so sensitive?
- He is an amazing actor.
When Nicholas Tse first came on to the acting scene, he was awarded with the Best New Actor award. 11 years later he won the best actor award. Needless to say, it was well deserved.
- He is recognised as the first ever “Friend of Michelin”
A few years back, Nicholas Tse starred in his very own food travelogue show, Chef Nic, he has since been recognised as a maverick chef. In 2016 he was honoured at a Michelin event as a “Friend of Michelin”.
- He is starring alongside Yung Jung Hwa in Cook up a Storm.
Nicholas Tse will be sharing the silver screen with Yung Jung Hwa this month, not many guys would be willing to share the spotlight with someone else. Of course, no one can truly pull the limelight away from the genius of Chef Nic. Did you know he designed the menu for the movie? Everything edible featured on the show was picked out by him.
Coming soon to cinema, is the Chinese movie that Malaysia’s movie scene has been waiting for. With Nicholas Tse and Yung Jung Hwa, 2 dreamboats of different generations, it is definitely a family movie. Cook up a Storm will be in cinemas on 10 Feb.
