What happens after we die? This is one question that never stops boggling the human mind. Does every memory all just turn to black? Will you remember the life you had on Earth? In this new movie release, Li Yuran was a very successful lawyer who lived her life alone. She was ruthless and apathetic in dealing with her clients, some of them even called her heartless. One unfortunate day, a truck violently crashed into her car. Just like that, she was dead. She arrives at the “Terminal of Life”, having absolutely no idea what was going on.

The afterlife workers were also shocked to see her, telling her that it wasn’t her time and that she died too early! So they decided to bring her to an alternate reality to “substitute” for someone for a week until they can fix things and bring her back to her proper body. She ends up with a family where she has a demanding architect husband and two bossy kids.

She hates her life at first. Then, as this Asian movie progresses, she finds out that if she hadn’t been there to “substitute”, the family would have already lost their mother to a heart attack a week before she arrived. She learns to care for the kids and to love her husband. But time was running out. Will Li Yuran choose to stay in this alternate life? You better not miss this touching family movie in cinema!

Beautiful Accident is a Chinese movie directed by Wi Ding Ho. It stars Gwei Lun-Mei as the apathetic Li Yuran and Chen Kun as her architect husband. The movie will be released on June 1, 2017.
