Latest Movie Releases: Mark Wahlberg returns as another hero in DEEPWATER HORIZON

After their remarkable tribute to the heroes of Lone Survivor, Mark Wahlberg and Director Peter Berg’s return with one of the most-awaited latest movie releases of the year: DEEPWATER HORIZON. Based on a true story, this new movie release is about the largest man-made ecological disaster in history.

Upon its initial release in cinemas, the film already gathered a lot of positive feedback from both critics and casual movie goers alike. While Director Peter Berg is praised for another spectacular and realistic homage after Lone Survivor, Mark Wahlberg gave another outstanding performance worthy of the limelight as well. Who would’ve thought that the once ab-flashing underwear model would evolve as one of the highly sought-after actors of today?

That’s right. If you didn’t know, Mark Wahlberg was once a bad boy rapper/model called “Marky Mark” in the early 1990’s. Crazy, huh? Well his journey to success had been a lot crazier. After his music and modelling career had taken a miserable downfall for severe misbehaviours and scandals, his entry to the film industry received a lot of cynicism. But he proved all the critics wrong after his charming movie debut in the Renaissance Man, earning back the respect he lost one movie at a time.

His movie career had a major turning point after taking a role in the critically acclaimed Boogie Nights. One incredible performance after the other, he’s transformed into one of the finest and most respectable actors today, displaying a wide range of dramatic abilities. Some of the most notable films he has excelled in include Three Kings, The Planet of the Apes, The Perfect Storm, Contraband, Transformers: Age of Extinction, TED, and the previous one with director Peter Burg, Lone Survivor. Now, with more than 20 roles to his name and even Academy and Oscar awards nominations to boot, he’s far from the bad boy rapper dancing in boxers he used to be.
