What’s so bad about being a workaholic anyway?! You just love your job! You toil and grind in order for your work to be consistently excellent. You’re doing this for your family’s future too. Sometimes, though, we get so focused on one thing that we begin to neglect more important matters. Dane Jensen knows this. Let’s find out what happens in GSC’s latest movie.

The Headhunter’s Calling is a must-watch movie that narrates the story of Dane Jensen, a workaholic but loving husband to Elise and a good father to Ryan and Lauren. He is very dedicated to his work as an employee in the Blackride Recruitment Agency. More so when Ed Blackridge, the company’s president, decided that he’s nearing his retirement age and needs someone to take over the company. Dane and his rival Lynn fight for the position.

Dane becomes obsessed with work, wanting to get promoted. He pushes his team to work hard and rise above the target number of the company. Much to Elise’s disappointment, Dane loses valuable time with his family. He tries to squeeze in some time for them but it doesn’t seem to be enough. He’s always taking calls and working even when he’s at home.

One day, Dane notices that Ryan seems to be getting unhealthily fat. He tries to get him to jog every morning but Ryan gets tired too fast and complains about bruises. This starts to concern Elise and Dane and they decide to take him to the doctor. They find out that Ryan has cancer. Shocked and remorseful, Dane decides to spend more time with his family. This affects his work as his team’s numbers decrease while he is away. Will Dane standby his family even when he could lose his job? Catch this latest movie in cinemas near you!

Gerard Butler stars as Dane Jensen in this film. He is famous for his roles in the Hollywood movies London Has Fallen, Olympus Has Fallen, and 300. This is also the directoral debut of Mark Williams.
